The Novo Console by Environment Furniture

According to numerous tropical tree sources, the Peroba Rosa tree is a tall canopy tree, averaging 100 feet in height in the natural rainforests of Brazil. Due to its durability, the wood was heavily exploited in the past, most commonly used for furniture and cabinetry, decorative veneers, joinery and millwork. To keep the species alive and stay as eco-friendlyw as possible, reclaimed Peroba Rosa wood alongside Mahogany Veneer are used in the construction of the Novo Console by Environment Furniture.

Measuring a sturdy 32.25″H x 18.5″W x 62.25″L, the Novo Console makes a statement without taking advantage of too much wall space. It’s sleek, earthy textures bring out a certain elegance when combined with smooth edges and hidden storage. Using four doors to separate what “meets the eye”, the Novo Console becomes not only a beautiful piece with a story of reclaimed lumber, it also becomes a functional piece for any living or dining room.

“The cabinet top, base, and sides are manufactured from sustainably-harvested Mahogany, stained to a rich ebony finish,” reads the product description. It also suggests that the Novo be used as more than a console table, but with its storage and touch latch doors with adjustable interior shelving it could also make a great buffet or sofa table. Environment Furniture is a member of the Tropical Forest Trust (TFT), that links retailers and suppliers with sustainably-harvested tropical woods. With showrooms in Los Angeles, New York, Costa Mesa, and Dublin, Ireland, the brand is looking to extend the art of responsible woodworking to as many areas around the world as possible.
