Studio Guapo V1 Rocker
Matt Pecina of Studio Guapo always integrates a touch of the street into his designs.

This often takes the form of his signature G (for Guapo or Graffiti, take your pick) scrawled in paint, or in wood, or in the geography of well-placed rivets.

In the case of the Guapo Rocker, the G is part and parcel of the overall design, serving to create the arms as well as the race-car like flourish of its side silhouette.

Guapo is an example of the way Pecina conceives of his role in design—bridging urban fashion and furniture and thereby “weaving together a furniture-brand studio that considers streetwear, street art, hip-hop, punk, and my cultural identity as a Mexican American all in one place.”
