The ash barstool with an extremely light appearance contains a pleasingly durable bubble-like footrest.

Debuting in 2014, Babila barstool comes in two heights and features FSC-certified wood. The tapered legs perfectly join the plywood seat.

The entire Babila collection, which dates back to 2013, is furniture fluidity at its finest. The soft lines and easy tapered connections appeal to the senses.

The formative collection began with one chair made entirely of ash wood, a variation on the stool that now turns ten. As the years went on, Babila expanded to include armchairs and barstools that come in a variety of customizable colors and materials.

Designer Odo Fioravanti said the artful barstool turned out exactly like the original design, which isn’t always a given.

Babila et. al

“When a designer comes up with an idea, in order to realise it, he already knows that a compromise must be made with the technical engineering of the product itself, losing a few details which, in the world of ideas, would have made the result precise. It did not happen in the case of Babila ash wood barstool. Thanks to Pedrali’s technology, specifically in the Manzano factory, and to significant investments in innovation, we were able to give accurate shape to my initial project, while at the same time respecting the company’s requirements.”

Over its lifetime thus far, the iconic ash wood barstool has been given a seat at the table on university campuses, museums, fine restaurants, and hotels.
