Designed to trick the eye into thinking that it’s floating above the floor, the Sydney Sofa by Poliform is the masterwork of Italian designer Jean-Marie Massaud.

The modular sofa, which is part of a collection that includes a selection of matching coffee tables, takes inspiration from geometry, which can be seen thanks to its angular curves and fluid lines.

The designer also added cross-shaped legs that are set back to make each sofa appear as if it’s floating on air. The finished design is available in a variety of colors to make a bold statement in any contract setting.
