Raw Vintage Collection by Paco Camús for Coim
A stone's throw from the shores of the Spanish Mediterranean, manufacturer Coim is hard at work creating vintage wares for the new millennium. If "new vintage" seems like an oxymoron, simply have a look at Paco Camús' "Raw Vintage" collection. These five fabulous furnishings manage to synthesize the seemingly contradictory concepts of "contemporary" and "classic."
The New Retro Appeal of Raw Vintage Sideboards and Consoles
Comprised of two sideboards, a pair of TV consoles, and a singularly inviting chest of drawers, the Raw Vintage collection offers something for every aesthetic-from the shabbily chic savoir faire of painted OSB to the technicolor enchantments of lovely lacquered wood.
For my money, the latter is the show-stopper of the collection. This console offers a frame of precision crafted black laminated wood outlining a comely quartet of vibrantly colored drawers.
The clever OSB sideboard is a close runner-up. Daring and delightful, its bold ruby red tint may not be for the faint of heart, but certainly is for adventuresome souls who love a loud pop of color and who are equally enthusiastic about unorthodox, innovative materials.
About the Manufacturer: Founded in 1965, Coim has evolved with the times-from the classic appeal of tables and chairs in handcrafted wood, to the contemporary allure of precision-machined armoires and lamps of laser-cut steel.
