Live at #NeoConEast: Davis Furniture
A boxy formation marked by clean lines; Davis Funiture‘s MEO Lounge, designed by Wolfgang C.R. Mezger, is ‘A twist on the typical tuxedo style, offering a split personality.’ Mezger altered its proportions to create thicker seats, thinner arms, and delineation between arm and seat. The metal base which supports peeks out from beneath the seat in the corners and disappears underneath to create the illusion that the chair or loveseat is floating.

If you missed its debut at NeoCon09 in Chicago, check out their booth MEO in Davis’ Showroom at NeoCon East: Showroom3-115, Floor 3. Composed of two separate upholstered segments: the seat and the low back with arms, it enables designers to specify the seating in multiple textile selections to blend with their environments and have more creative control. A unique low table completes the collection. Only 8” in height, with leather wrapped sides and topstitched seams, it has the same disappearing leg support and is available as either a square or rectangle. Tops can be specified in white or black painted glass or veneers. A side table with a similar square pedestal and the same top selections completes the look.
MEO offers a new solution for lobbies and lounge atmospheres. Also check out RT London’s Sawyer or Allermuir’s Jaks.
