Original BTC Revisits an Icon: the Hector 30 Lamp

Original BTC celebrates thirty years of handcrafting and classic style with the Hector 30 Lamp.

One of the company’s original designs, Hector is the brainchild of founder Peter Bowles. The lamp offers dual innovations: a shade made of bone china and cording made of woven cotton braid.

The lamp is and has always been handcrafted, made in a teapot factory in Stoke on Trent, England.

It’s an elegant yet laborious process: “Shades and bases are slip-cast moulded by hand, then smoothed with sponges before firing, with each component passing through the hands of ten craftspeople over a period of six days.”

Hector 30, the anniversary edition of this wall, floor, table, and switched-wall light, features a satin-brass stem and braided cable in black or gray. The original chrome is available too, as is a cable in taupe.
