Designtex and Crypton re-visit and honor 25 years of fruitful collaboration with the Designtex 5×5 Collection, a selection of high-performance textiles featuring digitally printed imagery commissioned from five different artists.

25 years ago, Designtex and Crypton joined forces to combine durable and stain-resistant fabric with unbound aesthetic potential. This is “a stain-, moisture-, and odor-resistant polyester utilizing groundbreaking digital printing to ensure striking color and clarity.”

5×5 refers not only to the five artists each working in five different colorways, but also to the 25th. Anniversary of the collaboration.

The prints themselves are delightfully diverse, ranging from the soft linear intersections and disintegrations of Arturo Guerrero’s Line Variations to the abruptly playful and ebulliently Miró-esque machinations of Elizabeth Atterbury’s Social Dance.


These textiles are exceptionally versatile, appropriate for applications in education, hospitality, healthcare, and beyond.
