Super Series by David Nosanchuk for Flavor Paper
David Nosanchuk has collaborated with Flavor Paper to design a wallpaper collection that focuses on architecture and art. Using details from his photographs of Rome and New York, Nosanchuk created seven patterns featuring elements such as wood benches, stained glass windows, and sculptures. Entitled Super Series, these wallcoverings by Flavor Paper "cut, reposition and repeat existing elements in the images to create an entirely new architecture."
Kaleidoscopic Patterns with Architectural Elements and a Digital Feel
Super Series' prismatic prints work on various levels: "from a distance the designs are abstract and textural, but as the viewer approaches, details like windows, columns and apses emerge." For example, Golden Relief is a hexagonal geometric pattern extracted from a photograph of a late nineteenth-century sculpture of a woman; and Beggars Banquet is a psychedelic translation of an early twentieth-century stained glass window. Nothing is what it at first seems in Super Series!
