Tron table by Marc Sadler for Capo d’Opera
Due to be launched at next month’s imm Cologne trade show the Tron table by Marc Sadler for Capo d'Opera is a tribute to Disney’s 1982 science fiction movie ‘Tron’.
The complex steel net base of the Tron table by Marc Sadler for Capo d'Opera is inspired by mathematic logarithm.
Directed by Steven Lisberger, the Tron movie was renowned for being the first feature film with a notable use of computer graphics. Sadler has reflected this in the design of the table, which features a complex steel net base made of asymmetric modules welded in a double-cone shape. Inspired by mathematic logarithm, the peculiar structure of the table ensures perfect stability to the circular top, available in glass, oak, rosewood, louro preto, ebony, canaletto walnut or teak.
The innovative design has already been revealed as the winner of a prestigious Interiors Innovation Award.
