A couple of years ago, for the Milan Furniture Fair, Zaha Hadid partnered with Dupont and Ernestomeda to come up with a futuristic kitchen island design. Equipped with heating membranes embedded, control panels with touch screens, LED lighting, and an entertainment system, there’s no question the “Fire” and “Water” sections made using Corian by Dupont are some of the most innovative on the market.

8. Enclume Gourmet Island

The doors and tops of this Schiffini G. Box kitchen island begin to illuminate its overall look with the tempered optical glass and Carrara marble. The aluminum cage makes up its structure and comes in the different dimensions listed above. In addition to the possible addition of many different custom pieces, the G. Box also comes with a stainless steel hood to place over its glossy surface.
