Stroll on the Esplanade: The 2011 Duravit Bathroom Collection by Sergei Tchoban
Used interchangeably with the term “promenade”, a modern Esplanade is a walking area along a beachfront. In 2011, the word has taken on another bullet point to its definition though, with the title of the same name claiming its spot as Duravit‘s new 2011 bathroom collection.

Wood and Ceramic Combine For a Modern Tub: Sergei Tchoban’s Esplanade Collection for Duravit
Developed in cooperation with the Russian-German architect Sergei Tchoban, the super elegant cabinets, tubs, toilets, shelving, and bidet units incorporate a wooden finish into their design. Streamlined angles make the collection modern, and contrasting ceramic and wood materials makes them more livable as opposed to ultra clandestine and luxurious. Use them together to create a large, gorgeous set within any bathing space, or separate them for an interesting spin off from the otherwise solid, typical white.
Sergei Tchoban’s architecture focuses primarily on large-scale offices and business centers, residential buildings, urban planning, hotels, cinemas, cultural, commercial, and industrial buildings. Although it seems like Tchoban does everything under the sun within his practice based in both Hamburg and Moscow, his expertise relies on his education in cross-disciplinary involvement. Basically, the man is a jack of all trades. He is known in the industry for immersing himself in the master plan, architectural design, interior design, model-making, and visualization. That is why there is no question his involvement in the Esplanade collection takes normal bathroom fixtures and creates a sort of industrial, urban feel while maintaining their contemporary spirit and luxury.
Walk the sandy path along the beachfront with the constant allure of an ocean wave cleansing your spirit. This feeling is what the Esplanade by Sergei Tchoban for Duravit accomplishes each time you step foot into the minimalist, contrasting bathroom design.
