Factory Friday: The Retro-Tech Series of Pillows
When I saw the designs of this week’s StyleFactory release of the Retro-Tech series of pillows, my heart began to melt. On one side of the soft designs, you see the illustration of an old-fashioned View-Master, a vintage camera, or a Cassette Recorder. On the other, repeated patterns of the coinciding counterparts – cassette tapes, View-Master discs, and polaroid photos awaiting their images – fill its plush surface.
The Retro-Tech Series. Designed by Mimia Johnson and Joel Edmondson.
The Funky Retro-Tech Pillows Illustrate the View-Master, Polaroid Film and Cassette Tape Nostalgia of Years Past
Warning: the chunky, outdated pieces of technology designed on the front and back of a snuggled up piece of home decor may or may not evoke nostalgia for years past. But in the form of a sweet pillow illustrated by Mimia Johnson together with StyleFactory’s Creative Director Joel Edmondson, the risk is well worth the flood of memories. Each pillow is designed using a screen-printed cotton, feather down fill and has a zipper closure for safe-keeping. They measure in at a healthy size of 12″ x 16″, perfect for bookend-ing your sofa or adding some a tangible feel to solid-colored feather beds.
If your place is full of precious furniture but you’re itching to spice it up with vintage-inspired designs, the Retro-Tech series of pillows will do the trick. Vote for the View-Master Pillow, Cassette Recorder Pillow, or Camera Pillow by clicking on their links, and share the joy of yesteryear.
