Established & Sons Like Their Corona with a Light
For all of us Established & Sons fans, we want to prolong the newest releases from the 2010 Milan Fair for as long as possible. Just like they do for the home or office, the pieces add a much-needed “oomph” to our lives – whether it be in our blog during a usual week or when we feel summer’s escape and the arrival of winter. No matter what the circumstances, you can never go wrong with the British manufacturing company defying classical modes of design for the boundary-pushing pieces that simply “make” a space.
Corona. Designed by Established & Sons.
The Corona lamp by Frank is outfitted with a modern glazed, earthenware ceramic shade and contains an opal blown glass inner shade with a polished, stainless steel reflector to diffuse the light. This combination of materials makes for a less direct light, adding to the ambiance. Topped off with a strong suspension cable made of steel, the entire pendant lamp adds a glossy, modern feel to your dining room table, kitchen counter, or lounge area.
The large Corona light has a diameter of 19.3″ and a height of 6.7″. The small Corona light comes with a 15″ diameter and a height of 4.9″. Each size comes with a long cable measuring 157.5″.
According to Established & Sons and Frank, the Corona lamp is “a homage to the soon-to-be-lost Crown Silvered incandescent light bulb,” adding that it “has been designed to echo the bulb’s function of throwing light back into its fitting; creating atmospheric light, eliminating glare and enabling the light source to be viewed directly.”
