Pioneer Millworks offers five Sustainably Harvested options that come from FSC-managed forests, including Ash, Hickory, Maple, Walnut, and White Oak.
Available as engineered flooring, engineered paneling, solid flooring, and solid paneling, the sustainable products offer a “uniform appearance for that more monochromatic look.”
Pioneer Millworks manufactures the World’s Most Eco-Friendly Engineered Flooring™, with precision tongue and groove in either ⅝- or ½-inch thickness. The floors can be sealed with various eco-friendly finishes, maintaining the wood’s original color or altering it for a custom look.
Choosing sustainably harvested wood in an engineered floor is environmentally conscious on two fronts, since the wood is sourced responsibly and an engineered floor increases available yields.
Of course, the solid paneling and solid flooring are also great options. Of the sustainably harvested products, Hickory and Maple have high ratings on the wood hardness scale, making them excellent for heavy-traffic areas.
Additionally, all Pioneer Millworks products are made in the USA at the company’s solar-powered facilities, which include a mill and kilns heated 100 percent by scrap wood. For more information, visit www.pioneermillworks.com.
