Earlier this month at NeoCon, American Seating unveiled a new versatile Us chair with a wooden base, a new table line to complement its award-winning Us chair Family, and several new enhancements to its existing product line.

The Us Wood Base chair joins American Seating’s existing collection of Us chairs that combine simplistic design and rigorous engineering. Fitting well into both corporate and residential environments, the new wood base chair features a ergonomically engineered shell made from a single curved piece of textured plastic, and a geometrically configured wood base.

Specifiers can choose from 434 fabric offerings for the upholstered seat pad and 15 shell colors. The multi-ply wood base is available in an Ash or Walnut face veener and a clear coat finish.

The Us Table Line consists of a wide range of rectangular, square and round tables - in various depths, widths, colors and table top edge options - that can be easily configured in multiple ways to meet the myriad active learning spaces required of today's dynamic education market.

The first model available is a rectangle table that accomodates two Us chairs and is available with casters or glides. Four cast urethane edge options are available in eight color choices, as well as a lightweight table top option that is 50 percent lighter than today's standard table top.

Also new is the dekâ„¢ table, a smartly designed, light-weight and stackable table that is the perfect design complement to any of the Us Chair Family products. Five dekâ„¢ tables can easy be stacked together and the design comes with a black or white laminate or Kydex work surface, a sled base frame and modesty panel.

Finally, the new, stackable Us® Tablet Arm  has been developed for use with the award-winning Us Chair Family to add even greater flexibility, utility, and design continuity for specifier and facility manger alike.  Available with or without several user-inspired accessories, it accommodates virtually any learning space requirement – the user-focused accessories consist of a cup-holder, a side rack and a bag hook.
