Gorgeous Customized Window Treatments by Robin Feuer and The Ruffled Window
Designer Robin Feuer knows her way around a sewing machine. Founder of the Ruffled Window, an Englewood, NJ-based drapery workroom specializing in custom window treatments, and one of the most renowned textile artists working today, Robin got where she is through no little amount of hard work and an innate knack for creative ingenuity. Of course, being a legatee of good design and excellent craftsmanship didn't hurt either.
The Ruffled Window Offers Traditional Treatments and Avant Garde Design
A third-generation seamstress, in many respects, Robin inherited her talent from her grandmother as well as her mother-especially the former, who "came to America from Russia, bringing old-world skills and standards with her."
Robin's entry into window treatments came by a bit of happenstance when her sister-in-law asked for her assistance. The resultant design was such to set her career on a new trajectory. And in just over a decade, she has established a reputation for "creative, inventive solutions for difficult spaces" as well as incredibly high standards. She's also known across the industry for her enthusiasm and charisma.
Robin's numerous clients can be found in New York and throughout the East Coast-from Soho to the Hamptons; Newport, RI to Philadelphia, PA. The great variety in pattern, style, and texture on display at these locales is a testament to her versatility, to her ability to tackle any task with aplomb, no matter the size, shape, or character of the window.
About the Designer: Robin Feuer is a sewing prodigy. Having learned the trade at the age of 14, she augmented her raw talent and early skills by attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Her company, the Ruffled Window, creates beautiful, customized window treatments, especially for clients seeking "inventive solutions for difficult spaces."
