Using the advantages of standardization – high volume normally equals low manufacturing costs – along with those of customization, modularity finds its way into most markets that want to give the end user choices and ultimately, 100% satisfaction. With the Flow Lobby Seating by IoA Healthcare Furniture, we see the small shifts in design comparing their Flow Inward Curve seat unit, Flow Outer Curve seat unit, Flow Quarter Circle seat unit and Flow Straight seat.
As the product description states, “the Flow Modular seating system was conceived with the objective of giving designers the tools for breaking through the square grid and freely create interesting curvilinear architectural spaces.” For use in lobbies and waiting rooms, the Flow modular pieces can be constructed in various finishes and textile designs by their partner companies.
