Trump your space with the Clamp Lamp by DZstudio
Classic and traditional, a Chesterfield couch in all it’s leatherness may be a little too buttoned-up for your hip factor. Admittedly a person who leans minimalist in my own habitat, there are specific, antique elements that remain tempting but seem out of reach – when they cost more than my road bike and car combined. For anyone who can relate, the Clamp Lamp by Enrico Zanolla of DZstudio beckons the feel of a soft, old-fashioned Chesterfield without neglecting your affinity for cutting edge design and staying debt-free.

The old and the new is best translated by two designers in Italy who have grown up with both the Roman ruins and the largest international furniture fair in the world right in their backyard. Enrico Zanolla and Andrea Di Filippo make up DZstudio, a young but accomplished pair with a portfolio containing modern furnishings, yacht design, car design, and even banking automation design. Together, the concept of DZstudio came to life after Zanolla and Di Filippo graduated from the University of Architecture of Venice (IUAV) in 2004.
Six years later, they’ve got award-winning designs that recently gained momentum in the Miniforms Spa area of the Salone del Mobile in 2010. Especially products with such versatility like the Clamp Lamp, because you haven’t noticed, the design world of blogs and critics are noticing the way it steals the spotlight (no pun intended).
Round and grandiose but soft in appearance, the weight of the Clamp Lamp spices up any genre without the gleam of an overzealous chandelier. Imagine how it could warm up a chill, frosted glass table, or lighten the mood over your grandma’s centuries-old dining room table. With so many possibilities, the lamp comes in three contrasting colors of white, black, and yellow are just icing on the cake.
If you’re hunting for the next big thing to set your space apart from the rest, allow the subtle luxury and flexibility of the Clamp Lamp in to work its magic!
