Salone 2025: Pattern Tessili
Lithea is presenting a new collection by Elena Salmistraro at Salone del Mobile 2025 that might appeal to anyone else who loves to peer at fabric up close.

Pattern Tessili zooms way in to interpret the intricate texture of Shepherd, Argyle, Chester, and Plaid fabrics.

Shepherd is the iconic checkered pattern with varying shades of stone.

Argyle, that classic diamond motif typical of cozy wool socks and sweater vests, takes on a new form in marble.

Plaid, the classic tartan pattern, is a combination of tones in warm and cool stones, emphasizing chromatic contrast.

And finally Chester, an off-shoot of the woven texture of the iconic Chesterfield upholstery, is all padded squares and sculpted spaces.

Lithea stone masons intertwine precious stones and marbles creating wall coverings that give off serious heft and elegance.

“Each design tells the story of a pattern, establishing a parallel between fabric and wall surfaces: fabric dresses the human body, while marble dresses spaces. This dialogue generates a fascinating contrast between the visual softness of fabric and the solidity of stone, transforming each surface into a unique work of art.”

Lithea uses computerized systems for the first stages of manufacturing, but the stones are all hand crafted by stone masons once the design has been set. If you go and see this one, send us your best photo at 3rings@designerpages.com.
