Taiwan-based product designer Gwen Liu began the Glimmer project by questioning a binary: “The industry and the crafts are not completely opposite.”

In order to create an object for modern life, she began by applying a modular system to metal crafts. This standardization increases efficiency in production—and diversity in completed objects.

The Glimmer series is seemingly infinite. When joined together, the essential metal unit can transform into vases, pendant lights, bowls, and sculptures.
