What, exactly, characterizes a “Flintstones” aesthetic?

If I think back on the decor of the protagonists’ home, I remember monolithic/overly-large items, rough/un-hewn surfaces, and a generalized ungainliness. Oh, and I think absolutely everything was made of stone.
