Drop and Fonte: New Washbasins by Valdama

Drop and Fonte: New Washbasins by Valdama

With a vernacular of placidity and calm, Valdama’s Drop and Fonte washbasins convey that very sense throughout the bathroom: “an archetypal from, container vessel of water and life, an ancient suggestion capable of bringing to mind our link with water, absolute principle of life.”

Pictured above, Drop is aptly named. In one sense, for its uncanny evocation of this elemental motion. In another, for its chromatic resonance with the potency of vivid primary colors.

The formidable Fonte features more sculpted contours—for a deeper vessel that evokes the iconic bowl, the primordial water carrier of humanity throughout the history of our species.

Both collections were designed by Valdama Art Director Prospero Rasulo and Studio Zero, an auspicious collaboration centered around an artful approach to design, where something as potentially mundane as a washbasin is elevated to heirloom status.

Fonte comes in two sizes with similar profiles. Drop is available in four sizes along a continuum from circular to oval. Users may specify either in a large palette of matte and glossy colors, with tone on tone options too.
