Villeroy & Boch's new line of surface-mounted Artis washbasins perfectly demonstrate the design possibilities of its new material, TitanCeram. The new strengthened ceramic material, made from a blend of clay, quartz, feldspar and titanium oxide, can be molded into thin forms that were previously impossible to manufacture.

laufenKartell03

Designed by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba, the Kartell for Laufen collection is made using the revolutionary material Saphirkeramik that combines the properties of plastic and ceramic. Made with a mineral called corundum, the material has been used to craft the sharp angles of this washbasin combining the exceptional hardness and folding strength of steel with all the advantages of classic sanitary ware - it's hygienic, hardwearing, and has a long lifespan.
