Urquiola and the Visual Poetry of Rows
An iconic brand and an iconic designer have once again joined forces to create a functional and artistic tour de force.
Rows, by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso, is a storage furniture collection with a distinctive aesthetic motif: an etched wooden surface that evokes fluting on a classic column or the zig-zag design of parquet.
The Diagonal table above offers a compelling contrast with the solidity of the structure and the rectilinear table top—sort of like Art Deco meets Roman Classicism. And the other pieces that comprise the collection, including a pair of sideboards, a cabinet, and a console table, emphasize this juxtaposition of heft with minimalism, somber sculpture with a playful decorative motif.
Rows features tone-on-tone coloration in honey, cinnamon, forest green, taupe, and coal grey. Options for tops include back-painted glass or marble.
