Sebastian Herkner’s Rio sideboard for Punt is an elegant piece with a classic look evocative of the best mid-century modern work.

Designer Herkner says that Rio reflects the basic elements of his core ethos: “my fundamental design language… working with honest materials and local craftsmen to achieve unique designs.”

With Rio, the alphabet of Herkner’s language includes timeless materials: wood, glass, marble, and brass, along with subtly integrated textiles for the interior.

Wood veneer options include natural oak and walnut. All doors feature wavy tempered glass and 105º openings with hidden salice hinges.

The solid marble cylinder bases and tops offer a compelling contrast with the wood framed doors: “providing stability and grandeur in contrast to the precise and fine crafted cabinets.”
