New Shades for Tracy Glover’s Teardrop Chandelier
A teardrop is both beautiful and bittersweet.

It’s fitting, then, that Tracy Glover’s lovely Teardrop chandelier evokes such conflicting emotions—much in the vein of good art.

Teardrop is a 14″ chandelier with an antiqued brass finish and bronze cable, colors that nicely offset the rich palette of tinted glass shades: “a transparent overlay of color that coats the inside of the teardrop-shaped glass, like a wine stain.”

Glover has recently upped the options and the appeal with a new design and new colorways—vibrant shades along a spectrum of red, from lavender to fuchsia to bubblegum pink.

Tracy Glover’s comments on the new looks for Teardrop illustrate how progress often occurs through happenstance. In this case, a custom request: “The Teardrop has been in the collection for some time and is a favorite among designers. This particular colorway and configuration was originally a site specific installation for a designer that I have worked with in the past. Now, it’s the newest member of my collection.”
