Organoid Uses Flowers, Branches, and Leaves in Its Surface Collections

“See. Feel. Smell. Experience.” That’s the motto used by Organoid, a manufacturer that specializes in creating surfaces with a little help from Mother Nature.

Here’s how it works: Using untreated natural plant parts such as leaves, blossoms, and stems, Organoid makes wallpaper, acoustical materials, and upholstery that is 100-percent sustainable.

Because Organoid uses raw natural materials, each piece carries the scent of whatever components were used in the production process, from rose petals and moss to vanilla pods and lavender.

Each surface is handmade by craftspeople who mix natural materials together with an ecological binding agent, which is then pressed into a thin layer. Custom pieces are available and can incorporate materials from a specific garden.
