Put on a Smile with Sieger Design’s Classic Happy D
The original Happy D Bath Collection turned 20 last year, and Sieger Design is celebrating by re-visiting this genial sink that’s had a lasting impact on the look of the contemporary bathroom.
The basin gets its name from a cool conceit: when viewed from above, all the products take the form of a capital “D”—“with a low silhouette, straight lines, and symmetrical curves.”
The shape has the advantage of saving space, as the flat side of the D tucks up against the wall, thus placing additional emphasis on the cool curves of the front.
Happy D has had a couple of updates during the past two decades. In 2013, Sieger released Happy D.2, featuring a height-adjustable console option, new finishes, and integrated LED Lighting.
And in 2019, Sieger and Duravit debuted Happy D.2 Plus. The latest member of the D family offers above-counter washbowls, stand-alone consoles with matching storage cabinets, and circular mirrors, as well as a dramatic anthracite matte color palette.
