Best of NeoCon 2019: Hightower Wins Best of Competition—Showroom

Hightower started off with great success, launching its brand at NeoCon 2019 with a fabulously relaxing showroom that received both Best Small Showroom and Best of Competition—Showroom awards from IIDA/Contract Magazine.

Three ideas guided Hightower: varmt välkommen (Swedish for “warm welcome”), linger, and unexpected. The company “wanted all guests to feel welcomed and at home, encouraged to linger and relax, allowing time to notice the unexpected details.” Designed by Casey Keasler of Casework, the Hightower showroom melded contract furniture with residential comfort to create a cozy space. Open areas invited guests to interact, while little nooks encouraged guests to retreat.

A combination of pleasing neutrals, organic materials, and varied textures accomplished a general feeling of ease—an emotion that is most appreciated within the kinetic atmosphere of NeoCon.

Hightower included a kitchen bar topped with beautiful terrazzo from Concrete Collaborative. The company’s own pieces were everywhere—from the playful Flower Side Table to the Scandinavian-inspired Libri Book Shelves.

A large Boxplay Sectional in lovely woolen upholstery anchored the front room. In the back seating area, wood-framed Savannah Chairs and a For Now Sofa created an inviting space.
