Simon Legald Refines The Three-legged Stool For Normann Copenhagen
Always interested in how everyday design can be improved upon, Danish designer Simon Legald has created a refined version of the archetypal three-legged stool for design brand Normann Copenhagen
The Tap stool by Simon Legald for Normann Copenhagen was born out of the desire to re-imagine the traditional stool, through the use of original materials and details
Perfect for a classroom environment, the stool features a hardened, moulded foam seat, which provides a flexible sealed surface that is comfortable, dirt-resistant, durable and easy to clean.
Following original specifications of a tripod stool, Tap has three legs that seamlessly join with the seat to make for a continuous design line, which also enables the stool to be easily stacked and stored.
The award-winning stool (recently awarded Germany's Design Award 2016) is available in five different seat colors, with either oak or walnut legs to present an innovative take on the iconic stool.
