Woven Upholstery 01 from Wolf-Gordon
Textile manufacturer Wolf-Gordon will debut their latest collection of upholstery textiles next month at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York. Woven Upholstery 01 is an eye-catching, texturally innovative collection of 11 different fabrics, each with their own distinctive aesthetic appeal.
Woven Upholstery 01 Features the Work of Renowned Designers
If the collection could be said to feature a flagship design, it would be that of Danish textile artist, Grethe Sørensen. Inspired by "unfocused light in photographs and videos of "¨urban landscapes," Millions of Colors employs a "random weave technique" to create a subtly modulating palette that evolves into different colors across the length of the fabric.
While Millions of Colors is sure to elicit high praise, the other styles in the collection are every bit as tantalizing. Amagansett, for example, evokes a vacation motif of rugged seashore and inspiring mountainscapes. Telegram is contemporary and geometrical, yet also recalls the heydey of Art Deco. And Celluloid plays with impressionistic shapes and abstract designs in a way that suggests the mysterious magic of film.
The 11 different interior fabrics in Woven Upholstery 01 offer a variety of colorways and multiple materials across several price points-from affordable polyester blends to higher-end wool fabrics.
