Milan 2014: Chaotic Love by Swedish Ninja
Maria Gustavsson of design studio Swedish Ninja says that the new Chaotic Love Collection is inspired by her daily life in her home city of Malmö, Sweden.
Referencing the work of 1980s Italian design group Memphis, Chaotic Love is a playful collection of lighting and furniture designs by Swedish Ninja.
Made with green marble bases, pink steel frames, and glass globe diffusers the Little Darling table and floor lamps are both finished with intricate perforated leather details.
Featuring pink and yellow feet and a green marble top, the asymmetrical Rufus Walter sideboard comprises three MDF drawers and a cabinet finished in four graduated shades of green. The bright pink steel pull handle is wrapped in leather for a comfortable grip.
Tula Blomma is a small trolley cabinet with three open shelves and a cabinet with a gray door. Made from white marble and gray MDF, the yellow feet and pink wheel and handles provide bright accents.
The steel-framed Boxing table is named after its spherical feet that resemble boxing gloves.
“The kids grow so fast, their trousers are always too short showing their beautiful ankles and little socks,” says Gustavsson, explaining the inspiration behind the My Socks sofa table.
Gustavsson has also created a My Socks stool upholstered in leather.
