Inspired by  her 1970s upbringing, New York-based Lindsey Adelman has designed the Tardi sofa for American design store The Future Perfect’s debut furniture line.

Lindsey Adelman recalls growing up as the daughter of an interior decorator in the 1970s and has reinvented her childhood memories in The Tardi sofa for the The Future Perfect.

Made in the UK, the sofa is composed of a straightforward grounding framework that supports four sumptuous cushions, each with a line of sewn in pulls. The sofa sits on turned wooden legs or optional metal legs and is available in three colorways – a striking camel and yellow, a more subdued grey and blue grey, or a smart black and blue.

The Future Perfect says “The Tardi feels inviting in its imperfections, highlighted by refined details, the trademark of Adelman’s work. The name? Because it took a damn long time.”
