Denim by Camira
If you’ve ever wished you could live in your favorite pair of jeans, fabric manufacturer Camira has a new solution that will give your favorite pair of Levi’s a rest: in February, the company launched its new Denim line, playing on the fabric’s durable yet fashionable characteristics to create a new line of ready-to-wear upholstery.
The new textile combines wool and viscose for fire retardance and sustainability
To create a crisp fabric that would complement modern interiors, Camira created a blend of 90 percent new wool and 10 percent FR Viscose (Rayon), a wood-derived fiber that complies with the company’s Second Nature brand attributes, due to its renewability and compostability.
Denim’s twill weave is designed for durability: constructed by interlacing colored warp and filling yarns, the diagonal face helps the textile meet A.C.T. Heavy Duty Upholstery abrasion standards of 60,000 double rubs on the Martindale test. It also comes with Camira's 5-year manufacturer wear warranty.
The line is available in 18 colorways, including several options that have a soft iridescence due to interlaced warp and fill yarns. Click here for company contact and ordering information.
