The Watercolor Collection by Beacon Hill
For its latest collection, luxury textile brand Beacon Hill have taken inspiration from beautiful watercolor paintings. The four large scale designs, that would look equally as at home on the walls as they do on the fabrics, are printed onto fine linen.
From the luminosity of impressionism to the daring, wide-handed strokes of modernism, the watercolor collection references a wide spectrum of historical influences.
The collection has been carefully put together so that there is a color palette to suit every interior, from bold and exotic hues to subtle neutrals. The four designs include Nila Ikat, an abstract take on a classic graphic ikat, Songbird, a large-scale design that features a playful bird and tree motif, Maricel, a design that recalls early modernist watercolors with a loosely painted composition of an architectural southwestern landscape, and last but not least, Soo Locks, the pattern that inspired the collection; an oversized impressionist-inspired design in delicate, neutral color palettes. Mila Ikat, Songbird and Maicel are each avaiable in three colorways while Soo Locks is availble in four.
Alexis Audette, operating vice president of design for Beacon Hill, explains, "We wanted to capture the feeling of movement and depth that watercolors have so we created fabrics with loosely painted images and degrees of translucent color."
