100% Design: DuPont Corian’s enhanced color palette
Since the invention of Corian® in 1967 by Dr. Donald Hillman Slocum, colour has been a dynamic theme in its evolution. At 100% Design last week, DuPont introduced a refined and enhanced colour palette for its Corian® solid surface range.
The new colorways are the result of extensive research by DuPont to create a range that is timeless, durable and versatile.
DuPontâ„¢ Corian® offers and refined and enhanced palette of elegant and authentic colours, including 30 timeless ‘solid’ tones. The new introductions include several chic greys, blues and greens, plus a range of rich warm hues. The carefully researched new offering is part of an inspired re-thinking of the palette.
DuPont works with designers, artists, architects, and industry sector experts to offer the largest, most versatile selection of colors available in contemporary surfacing. The Corian® solid surface can be used in hospitals, schools, cafeterias, and office buildings. Nonporous and stain-resistant, Corian® is easy to clean, making it an ideal surface for healthcare and food prep environments. It’s also durable and easy to renew, because the color runs straight through. Plus, Corian® solid surface (and its adhesives and sealants, once cured) are low VOC and are nontoxic and non-allergenic to humans.
