Hit the Books: Bibliotheca by Nessen Lighting
Today we’re more likely to read our books on a Kindle, our newspapers on an iPad. But with its new Bibliotheca reading light, lighting manufacturer Nessen reminds us of the pleasure of sitting down to read the old-fashioned way—with the help of new LED technology, of course.
Energy Efficient LED Design Offers Modern Task Lighting Solution
The low profile, table-mounted lights are designed for non-glare illumination in settings like libraries, classrooms, laboratories, offices, and resorts and hotels. The luminaire includes six or eight energy efficient LEDs rated for 50,000 hours of operating life and mounted on a circuit board that is replaceable onsite if necessary. The 18-inch-high lamps are available in 36-, 60-, 84-, and 108-inch lengths. Made of brass, the lamp can be finished in Antique, Brushed or Polished Brass, Satin Chrome, Polished or Satin Nickel.

About the Manufacturer: Nessen Lighting was founded 1927 by New York society lighting and furniture designer Walter von Nessen, who created the first foldable swing-arm wall sconce. Modern versions are made today in New York by his namesake company, along with a large collection of lighting for all applications. The company can meet a range of client requirements with custom design and fabrication solutions.
