A Good Design Award Winner 2011: MAST Monitor Arm by Teknion
Teknion, the progressive contract furniture and accessory manufacturer, announced earlier this year that two of its designs won Good Design awards for 2011. The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies sponsored the awards, honoring the ergonomic MAST monitor arm and accessories designed by Carl Gustav Magnusson as well as their new Dossier casegoods collection designed by John Hellwig.

In pride-filled response to the Good Design Awards, David Feldberg, President & CEO of Teknion, said “These awards are a tribute to the talents of the teams lead by Carl Gustav Magnusson for MAST and to Teknion’s Vice President of Design Strategy and Research, John Hellwig, for Dossier.”
According to the product description released by Teknion, MAST is the first monitor support arm that includes the technology of tablets, LED features and curved screens. The strong joints that allow for fluid movement are built for strength and encourage healthy working posture with just the right angles to fit personalized, ergonomic preferences of the user. Built for use with the MAST accessory known as Tiers – a selection of four keyboard trays that work with three keyboard arms – nurses and doctors can work sitting or standing while feeling comfortable and accommodated.
