I Would Do Backsprings 4 You Chair by Daniel Moyer Design
Each day Daniel Moyer commutes in the opposite direction of most people. He goes from the East Village of Manhattan to the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn, and into a recently-renovated rope factory that contains his workshop that goes by the name Greenpoint Manufacturing and Design Center. Within it’s large space other metropolitan artists sink their teeth into the all that the Big Apple can offer. Moyer’s latest seating design is the I Would Do Backsprings 4 You chair – with its unconventional name following Moyer’s commutes each day – it seems to draw in as much attention as the New York native could ask.

Crafted out of Black Walnut and Aluminum, Daniel Moyer’s New Chair is Flexible and Green-Friendly.
Moyer has been crafting wood pieces for decades now right in his hometown of New York City. Proving himself flexible, the designer has created the I Would Do Backsprings 4 You chair with a spine that can be adjusted to fit your personal preferences using the crank of a dial. Along with his chair, the Honest I Would table is also an example of his modern day masterpieces that are meant to bring out a sense of traditional woodworking.
The solid construction of the I Would Do Backsprings 4 You chair by Daniel Moyer was made using the branch of a black walnut tree. Apparently Moyer traveled to Pennsylvania after the ice storm of 2008 where he found the large branch that would eventually make his prized, and sustainably-built, side chair.
Using the black walnut wood and powder-coated aluminum, the flexible chair’s arc feature is a brand new, stand-out piece in Moyer’s collection that is studied for its elegance and customized fit.
