Made of solid hardwood with a high gloss lacquer finish on both the credenza and wall mirror, the fine furnishings by Espacio Sami Hayek fit into modern, eclectic or traditional homes. I’m thrilled with the complexity and asymmetrical “dip cone” look of the credenza that matches the hand laid beaded pattern done by the Huichol people of west central Mexico. Available in three colors – monochromatic lava red, monochromatic gray and monochromatic blue – the intricacy and solid glossy lacquer together is an undeniable hit amongst their 2011 releases.

The Mestizo credenza measures 96"L x 20-3/4"D x 26"H while the Mestizo mirror measures 60″L x 2-1/4″D x 36″H. Each of them are handcrafted from start to finish, employing the centuries-old skills of the Huichol people together with modern, self-closing drawers and anti-slamming mechanisms.

About the Designer: Espacio Sami Hayek is a design company that produces furniture, accessories, bedding, tabletop pieces, and accessories for the modern and cultured home. It seems Hayek began his artistic endeavor in his hometown of Coatzacoalcos, Mexico while being raised in a multi-cultural family. From that point on, diversity and environmental design focused his creative energies in southern California in before starting his own practice in Los Angeles that we know as Espacio Sami Hayek.
