There’s something about mad dashes of color amid a monotonic black or uniform gray that gets the imagination going. The combo rather reminds me of a glistening Maraschino cherry atop a fizzy coke, or red velvet curtains in the darkened, hushed environs of a packed house, just before the film rolls. While the Stripes Max Collection by One Furniture Group may not have the cache of a Friday evening on the town, the aesthetic is just as glamorous.

Stripes Max Offers Pockets of Privacy in Public Spaces

Sure the venue is different but the upshot is the same: Stripes Max offers a delicious contrast between dark and light, between garish and subdued. A derivation of One Furniture Group’s earlier Stripes, Stripes Max is a collection of high-back upholstered seating for public venues.

Similar to the earlier Stripes, Stripes Max has One Furniture Group’s signature look of vertical and horizontal channel stitch detailing—a subtle form of stripe that belies the typical connotation of zebra stripes and animal prints, while still offering visual variation and textural intrigue.

The basic unit of Stripes Max is a loveseat-sized bench with a 52” back. The high profile provides an ideal place of repose and a perfect brief escape from the office grind. Yet, as One Furniture Group is quick to point out, the seats also offer a quick conduit to collaboration and enhanced communication.

Says One Furniture Group, “We’re certainly not the first company to develop seating to address this need, but we do feel this collection has a very unique look and has caught the imagination of the A&D community.” Look for matching occasional tables with data and power options to complement Stripes Max later this year.
