Mark McKenna, Design Director at Humanscale, elaborates on the differences between two of their current task lamps and the LEDs they use: Element Vision, a high-performance task lamp focussed on control and efficiency, and Horizon, a softer, more distributed light source that provides more ambience. He delves into the technology to provide a basic understanding of the LED landscape now, and what you can expect to see in the near and far future.
