Modern Nordic Inspiration Brings the Spanish Design of the Nao Chair by Edeestudio for Capdell to the U.S.
A modern side chair and armchair inspired by Nordic style of exposed wooden framing and natural hues, the Nao Chair was created by Edeestudio’s Eduardo Alcón and Esther Albert for Capdell. A company known for the facilitation of clean, modern chair and table designs, Capdell also takes modern design to a level of recognizable, almost plush, comfort. In this case, the upholstered seat extends up through the back of the Nao Chair. It’s dimensions were appropriated evenly to define its versatility as a dining or lounge chair for hotels, public spaces, restaurants, or office lobbies.
The straight lines of wood that embrace the backrest of the armchair and solidly stand beneath each version of Nao come with plenty of options. Available in 23 stains, ranging from the light and natural shade (shown) to a dark wenge, you can easily warm up the color tone. Additionally, the upholstery collection available consists of an extensive smattering of both color and material. In fact, the fabric can come custom or factory produced in either leather or durable fabric to match any interior.
Capdell was created in 1981 from the evolution of Sillerias Alacuas, the historic company founded over 40 years ago. Born in Valencia, Spain, the company has long been associated with working in wood and upholstery to develop beautiful, quality, hand-finished chairs. Since then, the company has worked rigorously to expand their product range, create dynamic new catalogs, and most recently to expand the factory and investment in cutting edge technology to guarantee the precision and efficiency of the finished product.
