Kvilt Sofa by Nina Jobs for Gärsnäs
Swedish manufacturer Gärsnäs has something for your consideration this Valentine’s Day, and it surpasses the usual frillies and confections in a glossy red box. The Kvilt Sofa will give you hours of comfortable repose and languorous lounging with your love, and its plush pillowed profile will retain its coveted cushiness for many a Valentine’s hence, long past the savory tinge of chocolate’s bite, well beyond the forgotten blooms of last year’s rose.

A Quilted Sofa with Untold Upholstery Options
On this particular 14 February, Gärsnäs has trotted out the Kvilt digs in the color of the day—a sort of candy colored red with just a daring dash of orange, a hint of pulchritudinous pink. The shade is definitely apropos for V-Day, and any day hereafter, as it happens. But should it be so that this pinky-salmon-red isn’t necessarily your cup of tea, don’t despair, for Gärsnäs offers the quilted Kvilt in manifold forms. These include the striped quilting shown for today’s featured edition, as well as a diamond pattern, or combinations of smooth and textured patterns, as seen in the black and white number shown.
Nor did designer Nina Jobs skimp on these options: “Kvilt can appear very different thanks to the range of available quilting patterns and the varied combinations of textiles and leathers.” In addition to a conventional sofa and the two-sided sofa pictured, Kvilt also comes as an easy chair. The legs are solid ash, and the luxurious upholstery is removable and re-attachable courtesy of Velcro strips and a zipper. So even if you do tire of Valentine’s Day’s kitschy colors, you’ve got no worries; simply slip yourself—and your sofa—into something more comfortable.
