Patterned Stone Cladding: The Latest Walls from Lithos Design
is a relatively young company with three decades worth of experience in stone. How does this happen? Separate the R&D department from the historic Italian company known as Bevilacqua Marmi and you’ve got two companies that help each other learn about the old and the new of luxurious stone slab manufacturing.

Le Pietre Incise Curve and Le Pietre Curve Light
‘Le Pietre Incise Curve‘ and ‘Le Pietre Curve Light‘ (directly translated it means something like ‘The Carved Curve Stones’) are the newest visions of the Lithos Design team. They’re a company who works with massive stone blocks. Being very focused on forward-thinking design, these are no ordinary stone walls. In fact, they are modeled into a slab with a gentle arch and then carved using six patterned designs: Giza, Fondo, Seta, Tratto, Favo, or Quadro. Beside the six Curve patterns, you can also opt for the ‘Luce’ line – of the same six names – that allow the wall itself to include spot lighting. With the invigorating effect of lights in the facade or inside of your home or office, you add even more intrigue to a design.
By including Le Pietre Incise Curve and Le Pietre Incise Curve Light patterns onto the vertical space of your interiors, an indescribable amount of depth is added. The indented, round patten on the curved slabs remind me of being in a cave. Wavelike patterns look more like vertical sand designs from a windblown beach. No matter how you spin or swirl the design, it’s elemental – drawing the nature right into your house or office.
With enough experience to be a credible new company that will forge its own path in the stone industry, Lithos Design is carving a path of its own. They declare that innovation and design are their mission, and that they’ll take advantage of the skills and experiences their predecessors at Bevilacqua Marmi have under their belts already.
