Following Slumdog Millionaire‘s victorious golden statue sweep at the 2009 Oscars on Sunday, millions of viewers watched celebrity after celebrity take the stage under David Rockwell’s magnificently-designed Swarovski Oscar Curtain. In Hollywood spirit, we at 3rings are awarding our own variety of Oscar to this week’s best product designs. The nomination categories, which range in relative Hollywood obscurity from “Decadent Rococo-Inspired Chair Design” to “Futuristic Fireplace Concepts” to “Uber-Executive Interior Lighting for the Workplace” present a theatrical selection of superior design performance.

1. Best male performance in the category of “Residential Wooden Chair Design” goes to Will Oltman’s Tolima Chair.

2. Best female performance in the category ” Intricately-Woven Chair Design” goes to Patricia Urquiola’s Tropicalia Chair for Moroso.

3. Best Muscovite performance in the category “Decadent Rococo-Inspired Chair Design” goes to Dima Loginoff’s Vassili Chair.

4. Best male performance in the category of “Slick Table Design” goes to Philipp Mainzer’s Habibi Side Tables for e15.

5. Best performance in the category of “Modular Outdoor Seating Collections” goes to the Ghisa Bench designed by Riccardo Blumer with Matteo Borghi for Alias Design.

6. Best performance in the category of “Futuristic Fireplace Concepts” goes to After 6 Design Studio’s A6DS Fireplace.

7. Best performance in the category of “Uber-Executive Interior Lighting for the Workplace” goes to Kinzo and idee.design.licht’s collaboration titled Airflite.

8. Best performance in the category of “Enduring Bed Frame Solutions” goes to Tojo’s v-bed designed by Roy Schäfer.

9. Best performance in the category of “Super Deluxe Showerheads” goes to Jaclo’s Lumiere Collection.

10. And last but not least, best overall performance in the category of “Iconic Oscar Installations” goes to David Rockwell’s Swarovski Oscar Curtain.
