At NeoCon: Get Chair
At 3rings we are always on a quest to bring those products in the vanguard that break away from the clich©s and reverberate with individuality and panache. The Get Chair by Harter definitely fits this elusive category and has got (yes, pun intended) everything going for itself in terms of style, comfort and ergonomics.
Get Chair. Designed by John Kaloustian. Manufactured by Harter.
At NeoCon this week, most of the exhibited products encapsulated a manufacturer’s proclivity for individuality and design. The Get Chair hence is no different and even exemplifies how creativity can meet industrial design flawlessly. And so it is no coincidence that designer John Kaloustian is emphasizing versatility with the Get. The swivel chair is completely adjustable and makes use of what Harter calls synchronized seating technology. This, in layman terms, means the chair won't break your back or bum you out (speaking metaphorically and literally!).
What sets the Get Chair apart from the clique is the option of ordering it in 12 pulsating electric shades that will inject life in any self-orchestrated workspace. Completely customizable, the Get Chair can be upholstered in grade 1 or 2 eco-friendly fabric from the Harter Textile collection or even a fabric from Knoll Textiles.
One can also choose between a stylish perf back, mix it with the available slim back pad, or select a fully upholstered back pad. Perf colors include Sneaker Brown, Messenger Bag Green, Backpack Orange, which no doubt amplify the visual effect.
The use of Pop culture color is rare in office furniture and hence the Get manages to make an arresting and dramatic style statement. It wont be an exaggeration on my part if I call the Get Chair a paradigm of effervescent design ethos and a confluence of creativity and functionality.
