AJK Design Studio Look To Morroco For Inspiration For New Grille Designs

Inspired by 13th century Moorish tiles as seen in the souks and mosques of Marrakech, ‘Moroccan’ by AJK Design Studio features a line of metal grilles, registers and panels.

AJK Design Studio's new line of metal grills, registers and panels are inspired by 13th century Moorish tiles

Manufactured in the US, the ornate patterned pieces are cut using precision laser and water-jet technology, available in steel, brushed or polished stainless steel and brushed of polished brass.

As well as the metallic finishes, the grilles also come in ten powder-coated colors or primed for a paint-to-match option. There are currently 12 different designs available, all suitable for walls, ceilings and floors.

About the designer: Oakland-based textile designer Annie Kator launched her own company AJK Design Studio in spring 2015 with a line of custom interior metalwork, following a stint as head designer at Maharam Custom Studio.
