If one were to awaken in the world of Giorgio de Chirico, then surely it would be within the Merano Bed by Italian designer Martino Gamper for Bolzan. A little geometric wonder, the bed combines high-gloss lacquered plywood, velvet, and brass.

Merano Bed is one of many furniture pieces displayed as part of the “Before, After and Beyond” exhibition held in London from October 7 – 26, 2024.

The Bolzan x Martino Gamper collaboration will include many furniture pieces to be released over the coming year.

Merano Bed combines a velvet-upholstered polygonal headboard with lacquered pink nightstands and base. The resulting combination of shapes feels austere yet luxurious—very much like a surreal object.
